A Word about the Sacraments

As an Episcopal Anglican Church , derived from the Church of England, St. Anselm's is deeply committed to the sacraments. Ours is a Catholic tradition with seven sacraments for both men and women. These are

  • Holy Baptism,
  • Holy Eucharist,
  • Confirmation,
  • Reconciliation of a Penitent,
  • Holy Unction,
  • Marriage, and
  • Holy Orders (this last sacrament is not available to women in Roman Catholic and Orthodox traditions).

For more detailed information on these sacraments visit our tract rack, or see the clergy. The Holy Eucharist is central to our worship, and through it we are united to Christ and to each other as a community of faith. All persons, regardless of who they are, and where they are on their journey, are invited to the Lord's table with reverence, to receive this special grace given freely by God.

Visiting LEM's & Other General Information

The Holy Eucharist is also available to those who are ill and can't make it to church, through the ministry of our Licensed Eucharistic Ministers.

During the first part of our Sunday celebration of the Holy Eucharist, children 3 to 12 meet in the atriums for the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program.

Following worship on Sunday morning all are invited to fellowship and coffee in the Parish Hall.
